All existing life-forms are electrical
Brain is dead, when it is no longer active electrically. The same applies to any living cell capable of self-sufficient existence – it must have electrical charge on the membrane. When the charge is lost, the cell is dead.
Any living organism is electrical. This is not controversial statement. Even the most simple self-sufficient life form (excludes viruses, which are not), must have electrically charged membrane. Without that charge it is dead. Human intelligence is entirely electrical: lack of brain electrical activity signifies death of the brain. We can think about organic life as a method of using chemical energy or physical energy to create electricity. Our neurons are transistors and their axons are wires.
